Eskan Bank Launches “Al Saya Greens” with More Than 2,000 Housing Units, Placing the Historic “Ain Al Saya” at the Heart of the Project
Eskan Bank has announced the launch of “Al Saya Greens,” a mixed-use development in the Kingdom of Bahrain spanning approximately 560,000 square meters in the Al Saya area of Muharraq Governorate. The project combines residential, commercial, and recreational facilities within a modern urban vision inspired by the historic Ain Al Saya, one of the area’s most prominent heritage landmarks.
As a major step toward implementing the project, the bank announced the signing of an agreement with Dar Al Khaleej Engineering, following the company’s successful bid in the public tender for the preparation of the master plan and detailed infrastructure design for Al Saya Greens. The agreement paves the way for completing the design works and obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.
The project will feature more than 2,000 housing units, comprising 1,065 residential apartments and 971 villas, alongside a commercial boulevard, service facilities, public spaces, and open areas designed to enhance quality of life and provide an integrated residential environment.
The historic Ain Al Saya will serve as the centerpiece and defining feature of the development, situated at the heart of the commercial boulevard and surrounding public spaces. Eskan Bank has placed particular emphasis on integrating this historical landmark into the project’s development vision, preserving its heritage value while strengthening its role as a cultural and community destination for residents and visitors.
The project aims to provide diverse housing options and promising investment opportunities, while contributing to commercial activity and supporting sustainable urban development in Muharraq Governorate.
Mr. Abdullah Taleb, General Manager of Eskan Bank, stated: “Al Saya Greens represents a significant step forward in Eskan Bank’s efforts to develop integrated urban communities that meet citizens’ needs and support sustainable development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The project stands out for offering more than 2,000 diverse housing units, alongside integrated commercial and community facilities. It also places special emphasis on highlighting the historic Ain Al Saya as one of the most prominent heritage landmarks reflecting the area’s identity and history.”
He added: “The signing of the agreement with Dar Al Khaleej Engineering represents an important milestone in advancing the project’s development. The company’s expertise will contribute to preparing the master plan and detailed infrastructure design in accordance with planning and engineering best practices, supporting the project’s vision of creating an integrated urban destination that combines residential and recreational facilities while preserving the site’s distinctive heritage character.”
Al Saya Greens is expected to contribute to expanding the Kingdom’s housing supply and creating an integrated urban destination that combines residential living and recreation, while revitalizing the historic Ain Al Saya as a prominent landmark reflecting the area’s authentic character and rich history. This will further establish the project as a significant addition to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s urban landscape.
